Looking good is the ultimate desire of all of us and in this liberated era of sleeveless tops, steep necklines and skirts – being hairy is no more a facial issue but a whole body problem. All women and even some men want their hair removed. Hair removal has been practiced for centuries in almost all cultures and societies. Today, there are many methods of hair removal, including shaving, waxing, epilators, laser or use of depilatory creams etc.

However, whatever methods you use, it is better to take a few things into consideration, such as:

  1. Sharing your razor is the easiest way to get your skin infected. So, never share your razor with anyone.

  2. Never re-use a blade since it loses some of its sharpness with every use; and a blunt blade can cause skin irritation. Also, a worn blade cannot remove all your hair.

  3. Apply conditioning to the hair before shaving. It will soften the as well as skin that leads to a smoother shaving.

  4. Soak hair in a warm towel first as it softens the hair.

  5. Wax instead of shaving because it lasts longer. Remember, it may be painful so always visit a good cosmetic center.

  6. You can use a soft skin cream or baby oil to calm down the skin and prevent irritations.

  7. Never use alcohol based deodorant after shaving as it may cause skin irritation.

  8. Always do it slowly – never perform shaving or waxing in haste. It may result in skin irritation, skin burn or a cut.

  9. If you don’t want hair removal but still don’t like them to be visible, go for bleaching. It lightens the hair closer to skin color, so that it cannot be noticed easily. But beware – use only special body hair bleaches.

  10. Last but not the least; just relax while performing any hair removal technique.
